Cooter, so I treat it just like a helical?Â*
    Yes
That might not be too bad.Â* Drain the oil, raise the rear end, and install.Â*
    Yes
I assume I Loctite the snot out of that bad boy and there are inner threads where I thread in the current plug?
Yes, and yes (just not i that particular google pic i sent you)

Asking in general, since I didn't completely strip out the current threads, what does everyone think about liquid gasket or heavily "loctiting" the current plug?Â* Maybe it's a "look and see" scenario.Â* I ran it for about 5 miles yesterday and the plug stayed put with no leaks.
It more likely to start leaking when it's vibrating and the oil is hot (like when you are riding it), not when it's sitting in the garage. So, what happens if it does??

Maybe I'm just lazy.Â* That timesert looks pretty awesome, though.
You can get a time-sert "kit" with everything you need. Or just the piece itself if you have the right tap.

    Cooter,

My exhaust gets back to me today, so I may drive it around and see what happens when it gets hot. I'll tool around in my neighborhood to get a feel for how heat affects it. I won't be goosing the throttle too hard (in a residential area), so I may never know how vibration affects the plug.

Miami78 has graciously offered to send me his time sert kit, so I hope to work through that once it gets here.

    You guys have been fantastic.
