I was coasting down a pretty tall bridge today with the ignition switch off and decided to turn it back on and drop the clutch. Needless to say am at the bottom of the bridge with a pretty respectable black line behind me.

I've push started some pretty large twins but they always had a carb.

Didn't know if it was the size of the engine or the whole electronics thing behind it.

Need to have some juice to the battery to get the pump primed and the electronics to run.
Oh and put it in 2nd not 1st.

    But it can be done.

Depending on your speed, you should bump start it in 2nd or 3rd.

When I'm riding trails on my dirt bike, I'll usually take a break near a hill so that I can just roll it off instead of kicking it! Yes, I'm that lazy.

The bike is running fine I just killed it with the ingnition switch.

Think I'll put a stickier tire on the back and go down the same bridge.:D

My old XR250 was a HUGE pain to start if the engine was flooded. (I mean 5 solid minutes of kicking)

Bump starting always worked on the first try though so it was nice when I crashed going down hills.
