Check to make sure your diode is turned the right direction. (Little fuse-looking dude with an arrow on top).
For some reason the neutral light comes on when I pull in the clutch no matter what gear im in. The light still works like it should, showing neutral when I am in neutral with clutch not pulled. Also it wont start if the clutch isn't pulled in even if it is in neutral gear.
It started immediately after burning a new map to the ecm. Anybody dealt with this problem ?

I had the same problem, just changed out the neutral switch, it's really easy and pretty cheap.

33900-99 SWITCH, neutral indicator
coastie nailed it for ya and i say that because my cityX was randomly activating neutral light, every now and then starter wouldn't engage. it was the switch going bad. it's behind the front pulley cover as i recall.
+1 for Coastie
It's a switch with a spring loaded ball bearing connected to a switch, when you are in neutral the the spring pushes against the ball bearing causing the switch to close the circuit and illuminate the light.
Here is a pic, right next to the front pulley.
turned out the DIODE was in backwards !!! easy fix thanks guys !! :)
must of popped out when my buddy was checking the fuses.. when removing the top to the fuse box, it has a tendency to hit that diode up since the diode is so tall and near that edge.
:D Always do the easy stuff first...turned out the DIODE was in backwards !!!
Thanks coastie rider, I was trying to find the neutral switch for awhile now.
Your picture solved that. Changed the switch and the bike is working perfectly. Thanks again.
