08 and up you do the throttle twist dance, I think,
    1 turn ignition on
2 make sure kill switch is on
    3 do not start engine
4 hold throttle wide open for at least one second
5 let throttle snap back closed and hold closed for one second
6 repeat 2 more times, open 1 second closed 1 second
    7 turn ignition off
8 you have just reset the TPS Congratulations

    08+ Buells Throttle Position Reset.
Set Kill Switch to Run FIRST.
Then Turn on Key. & do not start Engine.
Twist Throttle to Full Throttle one full second, then back to closed Throttle one second.
DO this only Three times Complete. Do Not Snap the Throttle when closing the Throttle hands on the throttle the whole time till done.
    Turn off key only.
Turn on key switch, let Engine light go off then start the Engine.
TPS reset needs to be done on 08+ Buells about every 2 fill ups. Key Method makes it Quick and easy. *Jimi

Yes Every two fillups on 08+ bikes will keep the newer buells Idling better OR you can wait till it starts to sputter and difficult to start. I Tell many Buell customers every 2 fill ups so the Bike runs better and it is a Quick and easy Key turn Method. It takes me for my Own Buell about a Minute to Preform. I do my own XB12R-08 every fill up. This way People that can't work on their bikes at all can do that themself. And YES I have many Customers that just want too ride [only] and so on.
Now the older Models of Buells Hold their Adjustment of TPS Longer to design Differences. There is no idle screw to adjust on the 08+ Buells they Zero out Quickly With the Delphi 3 ECM and I do at times here in the Shop use the Computer to check the TPS/degrees for wear on TPS sensors when they won't run or idle properly on 08+ Buells.I am not one to wait for the Engine to Sputter to fix something that Erik Buell made so easy to correct.
Not to mention what would happen if you took off at a light and it sputtered coughed and stalled oh my the axxhole behind me just ran your butt over on the dang phone or something AND due to a simple method that you waited to preform because you never heard of it. You ever wonder how I know all this. *Jimi

bull****. idle control does not relay on tp (throttle is fully closed anyway), but on iac position. tp is not involved at all therefore ****ing with tps zero is just rubbish.

and, btw, buell is not using delphi ecm. they never did. just in case you didn't notice yet.
