should have kept the 9 and modded the piss out of it.
I bought the 1125cr because I loved my xb 9 and wanted more power...I got what i thought was a great deal on a bike with low miles..Ilove the power and loved the bike the more I rode it..untill the problems started..blowing fuses now the stator is shot..replacement stator is 680 bucks.and from what i read on forums it could go again rite after i replace it.....I wish I had just gotten an r1..the parts would have been 10x easyer to get and i wouldnt have this head ache..How could buell subject customers to such crappy products...
should have kept the 9 and modded the piss out of it.
The stator issue is one reason why I haven't pursued acquiring an 1125. Lots of potential but many problems. I can't remember which year had the better, less failure prone electrical system.
What do u want for it?
Yeah put up pics mods and price and someone here will... resolve the issues.
The 2008 if im not mistaken is the one that doesnt have to many charging issue. Atleast mine has been issue fre thus far. Knock on wood.
Its an 09 1125 cr..spottless, barkers exhaust 8000 miles and I just got the programmed ebr race ecm today in the mail ,though I have not put it on.Its red and i will sell it rite now for 5500..I will set it on fire befor I sell it for much less..
I have been looking at mine all winter its a red 09 r w/1,200 miles and feeling the same way its stock with tidy tail front/rear axle sliders, buell buckle guard all from ASB all the updates clutch, waterpump, harness, but i wont give it away i paid 7k: its perfect
Wish I had that nice of a bike to bitch about.
tyler- how do you feel the same way? 1,200 miles and "perfect"...
know how you feel mate. i had owned 5 xbs before i added a CR to the garage. luckily i was able to add it along with my xb. after 4000klms i sold it as i could see the trouble it was going to bring. now i have two xb12s and they are both awesome. one is finely tuned and probably the fastest xbr ive ridden, and the other is my fun machine.
