The 2008 if im not mistaken is the one that doesnt have to many charging issue.
Thats why I am glad I got an 08
Wow, I remember when everyone was putting the 08's down because of the O2 location. Glad I didn't listen, very happy with my '08!

I would happily buy that CR but I have one too many bikes in the garage already. If I can get rid of my ironhead I'll let you know.

Sad thing is they are selling for about that with a good stator. I wish I were closer, I would put it in for u for free. It's not that hard of a job with the correct tools. I'm positive if Buell were still in business Erik would not let this go on.

just heard about stator re wire from custome rewind for 130$ as opposed to buell upgrade for 1000$..apparently they use 17 guage wire to cut down on heat and some buellers seem very happy with it..I would love to get it fixed so i can try out this race ecm...
then sell this thang..i would rather sell an oprable bike than a problem to someone

Make sure you're pointing your finger at the right company!

Im pointing my finger at the company thats name is on the side of my bike,,the company that approved the design and sold the bike under their name and tried to profit..This is not a new problem and even when buell was still in buisness they didnt do much to help so the cost of this fix wouldnt be an arm and a leg...but i do see that eric is still makeing and selling bike, just under a new company name...pretty cruddy if you ask me

    a) the name is erik.
    b) why should someone buy a lame copy of a rc8 at the double cost of what ktm asks for?
    c) not even indians are so stupid.

It is kind of funny because you show little to no comprehension of manufacturing process at any level and even less regard for what an end product is and isn't.

If I pop a tire in my car I do not blame Ford. Also if my alternator should happen to go bad I do not blame Ford. Nor if I take my car up to near its limits and something breaks. A tire pop from a nail? Blame the nail. A broken component? Component manufacturer (denso, bosch, et al.) and something going haywire at ludicrous speed? Your fault.
