:D
I hope you were able to figure out your electrical problem.
New battery is charging now. We will see what happens this weekend. Have to wait about the emulator
Well keep me updated if you wouldn't mind. I'd like to be able to help if you run into something I've already had to deal with. Also, if the dash lights or the headlights start going dim and then bright again, dim when idling and bright when revving, then it is for certain your voltage regulator. That is a sign that it is about to crap out for good.
So i replaced the battery and fully charged it. I went for a ride and it was great for about 15 min. I turned into a gas station to just listen to it and then it died on me. I went to start it back up and it didnt want to star for a sec but it did. I filled the tank up and then left. It sounded like and felt like crap the whole way home.
Voltage Regulator?
Hey all I too have a CEL code 21 and I've been reading this thread as well as google-ing information, but I am still a little confused about it. From what I am understanding people are disconnecting the servo and re-flashing the ECM? Can somebody give me some clarification on what to do, I do not have the ecmspy that everybody is talking about. How do I get rid of the code and fix the issue? Thanks for the help I'm a new buell owner
Stamen
I had to get ECMspy to get rid of the check engine light. But if you have a aftermarket exhaust like i do the actuator is no longer needed. What i did was disconnect it under the arbox and i cleared the code with my ecm spy. From what i gathered is that you wont be able to clear the code or turn off the check engine light unless you burn it into your ecm with ecmspy.
hope that clears that up
