nice, interested to see how they look.
I just spoke with Todd at Power Stuntworx about
Buell crash cages and he told me that they are developing a new cage for the frame and the swing arm as I type this! I'm not planning on stunting my ulysses, much, but because there are no crash bars available these are a great alternative for adventure riding, maybe even better. These new designs are sleaker fitting to the bike and will have improved mounting points. Plus a swingarm subcage! I can't wait. Pleeassee spread the word and encourage these guys to gitter done stat!
I would love to see how they look as well.
I'm interested . . .
Id like to see how they compare to the older style. I just picked up a set, but if the new ones look to have better protection, I will dump these and pick up a new set.
Hopefully whith the word getting out they'll put a higher priority on this. They're re-designing all there models and the Buell is probably on the bottom of the priority list. We Buell folks need to join there website and push them along :)
I've got the WABDR to do in september and need the cages myself!
oooohhhhh... lurking this!!!
did he give a time frame, i still see the old version on their website.
God damn one day I will off load my old one on someone. I bought it not to stunt, but to have bad ass protection for the bike if I went dowwn. After seeing how heavy they were, I said **** putting them on my bike.
powersstuntworx.com is changing to xtreembikeworks.com and is currently re-designing all their crash cages. This includes the Buell XB's! They will hug the profile of the bike unlike the previous shin basher design. Great for fellow Ulysses riders w/o options for crash bars on the market when adventure riding. Also in design is a subframe crash cage! PLEASE look them up and bug them to put this one at the top of their list because against the GSXR, ZX, R6/R1, etc. design for the buell isn't the priority. Their number is 727-776-4544.
