I have a question since I keep reading about these cooling fans coming on for many riders. The fans are turning on while you are riding? I've never had my fan turn on once while riding in the last 4 years I've owned it, even on 90 degree days. It only comes on when I shut it down for a minute or two. Are your bikes running that much hotter or is there something I should be looking at instead as to why it isnt coming on? I'm not complaining it doesnt turn on, but just want to make there isnt something broken that's preventing it from doing so.

I have a 2005 xb12 and the fan only comes on if I am stuck in a traffic jam or if I ride above 75mph in 100 degree Oklahoma heat.
FYI: I do have a large RSS and my headers are wrapped which makes a huge difference
I would hear it for sure, I pay a lot of attention to sounds of vehicles. Maybe it just doesnt come on, I dont sit in traffic that often except the occaisonal red light. Mostly highway and country road riding.
If its an 08 its doing what its supposed to.
