Was that a dealership or just a repair shop?
Lol my local garage which I trust to do my MoT's refuses to change the tyres on my Buell due to how fiddly it is removing the wheels! He said from now on I need to bring just the wheels.

Now, a bearing can get so bad that it'll either spin itself inside the hub (in this case the hub being a rim) or sieze itself to the hub.. Both would require a new wheel but I highly doubt either happened or the bike would be next to unridable. IMO you would have known there was something REALLY WRONG...
It was the South Valley Harley-Buell Dealers in Utah. Needless to say I have taken my bike to another shop with people that know what they are doing.
good choice. now who is going to email the dealer a link to this thread?
I have already written a big ole google review detailing my experience with their shop. I work as an internet marketer for a living so their rating of the next couple of months on google will drop.
i wish i was around for the days when you could get away with throwing a brick through someones window if they were an asshat. (that happened right?) now its a "ill get you through google," which is probably more effective as sad as it may sound. and im not calling you out ive done the same thing, just something i think about.
I completely agree, internet marketing is hard work. For this experience I am grateful to this forum for saving at least $250 for a part I didn't need.
