Take advantage of the time you have with your dads.

    Sob story here as well...

I havent seen my dad since I was 14, im 30 now. He used to bring me to a Harley Dealership every weekend when I was a kid to hang out with his mechanic buddies, that is why I have a thing for Buells, they had them and I was always interested in them more than the Harleys. He rode a dresser (Couch Rocket) with me on the back, so I have ridden with him before. :)

Used to ride with my Dad, but had to sell my bike to pay bills. By the the time I got my next bike and was ready to roll with him and his crew, he ended up passing away. So Now I will always miss those My dad, my brother and myself would ride. Take full advantage of the time you have with him, even if its not riding.

Sorry for the PSA, and carpping on the mode of the thread.

sorry to all who have lost their pops... especially if you were close...

my pops and an old friend of his both bought a Victory V92C in 01. Dads bike - 60+K miles. His buddy - 90K. Neither one has ever had the first issue. Superbly reliable bikes and perhaps what I'll get when its time for a couch (long long long long time from now)

They are shipping them out to San Diego in August and riding back to Virginia. Lucky for them they have the coin and the PTO to do big trips. I hope they are still riding when I do.

I ride with my old man ever chance I get, he has had a lot of diffrent bikes throughout the years but now rides a 91 Kawasaki voyager, and likes it. Its piss ugly if you ask me but he likes it, so I try not to give him hell about it. my brother use to have a bike to and we all would ride.

My son has been riding and working in the shop with me a lot lately. He just recently got his motorcycle and his endorsement over the weekend. Now that he's in college, the opportunities to spend time together are fewer. So I appreciate the time we do get.
