So, I may be paying off the car in the next few months (if I get lucky) and if I do, I'm going to get a new commuting bike so I can take the XB9R offline to rebuild the motor and maybe tranny and troubleshoot some stuff. Just curious to see what people would choose:
2011/12 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 (the faired one) or the 2011/12 Triumph Daytona 675 or the Ducati 848 (wild card)
Yes, I know, they are totally different bikes, but they are the only bikes I like that I could actually afford.
Just want to get opinions and awesome hearsay stories/rumors of said bikes.

The Daytona is pretty quick for a little bike. No idea on the 848 other than I've heard maintenance stuff is expensive.

All i have ever owned before Buell are ninjas and absolutely love them, however I've had my eye on the Ducati 848 evo!! I bought my Buell to chop up, never ever thought about keeping it. I just wanted a chopper to go along with my 636. I began riding her in the off season before tearing her apart and been riding every since. All that being said i am more open minded to other bikes now. You will enjoy your new addition regardless of which one you choose. Love that single sided swing arm though!!!

daytona 675. triple is much more noise and fun factor than the straight up power of the 1000 i4, and its still fast. i remember testing riding one here last year. everywhere i was going the digital speedo was showing 144-147 klmhs. problem was that it was a 60klmh zone. huge grin factor too.
you will get more pleasure from it on the street for sure. same for hte 848, except maybe not as comfy for commuting etc. so the daytona 675 for sure.

although after all that i just bought a second buell. i mean, why not. they are fun, unique and make great bikes whether commuting or riding hard. good thing about them is htey are becoming rarer and more desirable. big win over all others.
