I am also looking for a GPS, so far the Garmin Quest or Quest 2 looks to be the best that I have found. It's the same as the Buell Ulysses GPS unit, but doesn't have the preloaded Buell dealers in it.
Any advice on a new GPS system? I want the best "bang for the buck". Nothing fancy, but would like a decent GPS system. Any recommendations on where to purchase and which system?
Thanks
joe

got the garmin zumo and am happy with it.
the best thing between garmin vs. tomtom is that with garmin you can record the route you're riding, create your own or even download routes from other bikers.
tomtom takes you from a to b easy and good and it works well, but i want the fun rides with my own routes.
I use my cellphone and google maps. I also have a program that can update my website with my GPS location in real time and log the trip too.
As far as directions? pffft.
The best rides are the ones where you don't know where your going! This whole treating a motorcycle like a car is overrated.
I've used many GPSs in just about every environment possible and Garmin always comes out on top. They have so many versions that I'm sure you'll find one suitable for your use and budget. I've found that Tom Tom isn't quite as reliable.
