Started my bike today after removing all of the lights and adjusting primary chain. V-Twin light comes on and stays on the whole 10 mintues i'm riding.

Checked service manual and could not find anything about warning lights, but did find a section about the BASl. According the manual unpluggging the BAS will result in an error code which could cause the motor to shut down.

Now i rode the bike like that for about 10 minutes with no problems and my limited knowledge says it (BAS removed) should not cause any problems by leaving it unplugged.

Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this and am i wrong on leaving it unplugged? The bike will now be my dedicated track bike if it makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom shared and gtfo to leslie or any other smartasses who may want to offer stupid irrelevant opinions on my lack a master buell mechanic certifications.

Thats was posted for another guy who came in my clutch thread.

The bas is mounted on top of headlight. Took em out and so the bac went with it.

    You got 3 options then...

leave it alone and stare at the light.

Put it back on the freakin bike so the light will go off.

Get yourself a ECM spy cable and turn off the feature.

Any one of those 3 will work just fine......One of which is a no brainer in my book.

Bank angle sensor is important so that our bike doesn't burn to the ground or blow up in the event of a crash (like at the track...). It shuts our fuel pump off for just that type of scenario. The only time racers remove them is if they're particularly sensitive or known-faulty and cause issues at extreme lean angles.

Like Joel and Freak said, I'd find a way to mount it. Besides, you don't want to run around with your warning light on--it might mask other, real, issues if they crop up.
