Hi Mike! yeah...sometime that WOULD be cool!
1000 miles in 1 day = 1 week recovery time for most on a BUELL.:D
I used to do it about once a month on a XB12R. I'm from MO and worked/stationed in TX. It's not bad once you get used to it. I've always been pretty comfortable on a bike anyways. I have more miles on 2 wheels than I do 4.
Now 2700 miles in 3 days..... I was hurting.
Yeah it definitely hurt, my ass was pretty sore, but the worst was my right hand, it was pretty useless for a couple of days for anything that required more dexterity than using a fork.
I know this is a serious thread but this:is very funny and sounds kind of pornagraphic :DYeah it definitely hurt, my ass was pretty sore, but the worst was my right hand,
I just rode an event called Motomarathon a few weeks back. Did 1900 in 4 days, Days 1 and 4 were over 550 each.. Day 1 wasn't so bad, day 4 well, I was ready to be done.. All that on my 06 Bolt.. I was actually surprised at how comfortable it was..
Here's a link to the Iron Butt page. Something I first heard about over the weekend and quickly put it on the bucket list.

@Lesley, that does sound pretty bad!
@MotoPhreke this is the second time I have done this trip, only the first time I did one direction of it in 1 day, all the days that I had a break were really enjoyable, I was pleasantly surprised at how well I did after 500 miles in a day
@Vermonator I think I might try the Lake Michigan in 24 hours one, though I might do it in 48 and enjoy the ride a LOT more.
what about Phoenix 2 Dallas- 1037 miles :)
or Ft Worth 2 El Paso- 1200 miles :)
**but in a car :p
