    Hey all,
So my bike failed inspection because of a dry-rotted front tire. Now, I knew the tires had some dry-rotting but I didn't think it would fail inspection over it. What are your suggestions for replacing the tire?

I've searched the forum and came up with some praise for Avon tires... but really I'm not worried about any performance increase (although obviously not opposed either). I would just like a stock replacement to pass inspection with.

I'll give my nearest HD/Buell dealer a call but any and all suggestions welcome.

I'd look at a sport bike shop first, they will have cheaper tire prices since they go through a heck of a lot more sport bike tires than a Harley dealer..

As for brand, Michelin is the best. I have Pilot Road 2 front and love it. Great mileage and dry/wet handling. Pilot powers are also great tires if you want something more aggressive.

You can get them cheap off ebay btw! I paid $200 for my 190/55 Pilot Road2. Retail $287

Unfortunately I'm under a time crunch. Looks like I'll be getting the stock (Pirelli) front from the dealer for about $70. I'm only planning to keep this bike until the spring so I'm going cheap
The Blast will be replaced by a Kawasaki 1100 zrx around March/April....

Haha, well I wanted the Blast as a learning bike. Believe me, I'll enjoy it as much as possible before trading it off. My father is in his 60s now and the 1100 is his bike. He wants a less aggressive bike and wouldn't you trade a Blast for a Rex? It's still a sport-standard just with an eensy bit more GO :D
