so ive been a member for almost a year and posted a few times and even went to the buell dragon meet, but never truely introduced myself, names Kody Keith, i live in kickapoo IL,(near peoria) have had my 2003 xb9s for almost a year now, spent 9 of those months rebuilding it and making it my own, but hey thats buells are best for right?!! but enough with the small talk, words are nothing without picture proof.
first is the bike as i bought it and it goes in order till today.
and last a side by side of old and new
well thats about it, my family wondered if i could ever get it running again and the first day i had it done i went out to the warehouse and well ya:D
Very nice. Like the clear air box.
Looks wild, definitely unique. Good job on the build and welcome.
how did you build the airbox?
that is a killer airbox...
thanks, i spent about 26 hours molding it with a heat gun over a fiberglass mold of the inside of the original airbox. only cost about 50 bucks tho so it was worth the cussing and throwing of tools and the stess. im planning on showing it in the budwieser national bike fest in peoria on august 11th so i got it done just in time.
thanks again tho guys
Do make any airbox covers to sell. If so I am very interested in a translucent yellow on for my xb12r
Pastel orange is not my style but nice job none the less!
Welcome! Love seeing the unique look on your bike, and that translucent cover is awesome.
