I just bought a mint 2005 blast with only 830 miles on it. The seller says he changed oil and put in new gas but he sprayed a shot of carb cleaner in it to get it started and its idling so slow it won't stay running. Seems to run well though, otheriwise and will start right up for an hour after its shut down but warm still. I'll adjust the idle but what else should I do?
check coupler to carb, take carb apart clean, it out and check integrity of any plastic components?
Let's start with trashing the idea that you bought a "mint" bike. You did not.
Okay, so seven years of storage can do a lot of damage.
The very first thing I would do is remove the airbox cover and make sure no critters are in there.
The second thing would be to check the plugs.
I would not trust the new oil/gas unless I saw him do it.
