Race exhaust

Are all Buell OEM race exhaust stainless steel or are some painted black over the stainless steel?

They are mild steel, NOT stainless.

Pretty sure the "race exhaust " is polished stainless.....

There shiny so its that or ceramic coated

Why is this rusty? I could be mis-informed, but the one I had here was the same way, lots of dents on the bottom and it had rust on it although it was silver in color.
