I can understand the long seat time just get to somewhere to ride adds up.
Highways 45, 135, and 446 would a lot shorter round-about and you could shorten that even....course I don't know which way you'd be taking to get Brown county and this last suggestion runs into and out of Bloomington as well.

Everyone of the other legs would be just like hwy 135
I've been down 135 a couple of times and it is a great ride. In fact, 135 was responsible for me doing the unthinkable to my Sportster when I had it and raising it. A few of those decreasing radius turns got kinda hairy on that ride, what with the sparks flying and all. :D LOL
We always do a long ride from Indy down to holiday world hitting lots of the back roads, try a different route every year. This has made me find some great spots! I've got a bunch of google mytracks routes from our rides around there.
Yeah no offense to anyone North of about I 70 but Southern Indiana is chock full of hills lending to ample curvey roads.
What is this 9-15 run that you spoke of noone? I have not had my buell long enough so I didn't know of any formal get together other than the Dragon in the spring.

LOL Indeed that's not a ride it's a trip......sht you might as well ride down and camp out the night before or rent a hotel room lol.
Looks like Sept 15 is a workable date for others, as well! Might even have my girlfriend ride herself (she's taking ABATE this week!)
What city would we meet? I'm trying to figure if its feasible in one day lol. 15th works!
