Since you want black I would use plastidip, its matte black rubber type coating in a spray can. It looks good and holds up well. You can peel it off also if you don't like it!
I've been thinking about paint my xb9r for a while, its battle blue now, i have no painting experience and no painting equipment. I would like some advice on painting everything( rims included) gloss black or flat back. please give me a start to finish detailed description that I could follow to produce a fine paint job.

Google search a thread called painting by buellybagger. Has a write up already done. worked out great for me. Even doing a spare set as well.

Whatever you do make sure you hit the plastic with some sort of adhesion promoter first. And be careful about painting high heat areas without using high heat paint. That can get messy lol
