60mph is 3k ish, feels sluggish there, plenty of power and grunt as well as smooth over 4k
What RPM do these bikes turn at highway speeds (60+ mph)? I'm curious how the 5 speed does. Is it too loud, too buzzy, etc at highway speeds?

I guess what I'm getting at is do you wish it had another gear? Sometimes I have to ride on the superslab, and I like the RPM to be as low as possible. I like all the torque and noise and hooliganism on city streets, but if I have to cruise for an hour or 2 on the interstate I'd rather have it as comfortable as possible.
In 5th on the highway at 70 I'm right around 3500. I always find myself searching for another gear especially going down some of the big straight hills around where I live.
Hate to admit it, i search for 6th often, 3k at 75-80 would be great for the long trips i enjoy so little.
I wish it had a 6th, but I cruise around 4k at 80mph. 3.1k at 60mph
i've had the bike for 3 years, and i catch myself looking for 6th still... The transmition is my least favorite part about the bike.
Lol shift to 6th, oh wait I don't have a sixth gear. Rev match and let clutch back out with disappointment.
chatty: the 9's turn approx. 4200rpm at 70mph and the 12's turn approx. 3400 at 70mph. the 12's are geared taller. these motors will cruise at these speeds all day long without complaint.
I love my 1125. :D
4k rpm at 70, I ran out of balls at 155+, bike still had plenty, it was under 10k rpm in 6th. Topped out in 5th, it's at 148 mph. There's other bikes out there that will go much faster, but I enjoy this one a lot more.
