Pros/Cons: powder coating vs anodizing

Thanks PurPony. I'm not sure if they were just being lazy or what. Either way, they are fully disassembled now so whatever happens happens! I'm just ready to get them back and get the bike put back together. I've been side tracked with a new mountain bike lately so I haven't exactly been pushing to get it done, but I am tired of seeing it in pieces in the garage.

I hear you... My bike has been fully assembled for over a year now, but i have a few new mods i want to do that requires total dis-assembly again, just cant get motivated to tear her down

When you do go to assemble though... drive a flat blade screw driver or something like that into the upper and lowers to spread them open some so you dont scratch the powdercoat when you slide the forks in.

I thought about tapping a wedge of wood in them to keep them open. I've been running through my mind how I can run them through without scratching them. I thought about using painters tape down to the point where the lower triple will secure the fork. Then I can just peel it off.

Anyone have any thoughts or other ideas?
