Makes you wonder how many would have been saved if CCW was allowed in schools. Armed response from the staff/teachers instead of cowering in the corner, waiting to get shot. I'd bet it would have been a lot less, may not have happened at all. Dbags KNOWING they might get shot back at versus KNOWING they WON'T get shot at.

I hate "gun free zones" because that's just an enticement for the nut jobs out there to go do something stupid to people that can't fight back.

Btw, yes I do carry and will defend what's mine, most especially my family above all else.

^ it seems as though it will eventually end up that way. And I've been out of school for a long time now, but can someone please tell me why schools are open to the public to simply walk in? Can these doors be locked from the inside so that people can exit in the event of emergency like a fire or what not, but are locked outside

Schools also need to be re-designed so that wings or hallways can be locked down to prevent someone having free reign throughout. Minimize casualties.

read the story this morning, very sad indeed...innocent children wtf?

my three kids attend different schools and all the schools have gates and security doors which are locked during school hours, only entry is through the office and it doesn't matter if you've been there many times before, they ask for your ID every time, and the Jr High and High schools have local city police on campus

That's such a sad statement to make but unfortunately it's true. A school should be a safe haven where kids can learn and enjoy childhood instead of being locked in for their protection.

The story seems to be getting deeper and deeper. Saw a ticker run across a tv screen stating the suspects mother was a teacher there and she's presumed dead. Also his brother or roommate was found dead in an apartment.

Why do guys like this feel like they have to take others with them if they know they are going to take themselves out?

very very sad and heartbreaking!!... ive been following this all day since its right in my state, I have children this age, and i like my 2nd amendment right!

Why cant sickos just kill themselves, why ruin other peoples lives as well forever.

from what ive read and you never know with the stupid media we have... but he killed his father in NJ and then entered the school and killed his mother (who was a teacher)..

Its also sickening that the media is going to take this tragic event and turn it against all the responsible gun owners.

This world is getting worse and worse, I dont even like to go out in public anymore cause you never know what sicko is out there.
