    well here I am about a month later and have decided to go back to the original set up of the Lightning, parts are going as a package deal at the moment under Buell OEM parts thread...thanks guys

    too much of a dedicated riding position for my lower back to handle...

    You think if you would have kept your original bars you would have stuck with it? I'm finishing up a similar swap now but I kept my lightning bars and trees. I totally agree with you about the dedicated position, wouldn't want it all the time.

    Chicago, this thread is from 3 years ago, and he has already sold the bike and gotten a FZ09, might be a little late, but I imagine a much more upright position on the Yamaha.

    I agree with that on a firebolt, but I like my lightning riding position.
