I think I have some heat shield from Home Depot laying around. Could you post pics please?
Hook me up!! I'm interested as well. I was thinking about doing something like that after I found out that I will probably never get a F.A.S.T. kit in the states. I just didn't know what heat resistant material to use. Let's see those pics Homeboy!:D
I anyone would rather buy a heat shield rather than make one Special Ops sells a good one for cheap. Here is the link. Heat Shield
Do you run the heat shield under the lower plate of the inner air box?
heres a product i used for a similar scenario. it has worked great so far and the application was real simple.

they have some other similar heat products as well.
Here is what I came up with. I haven't tested it out yet to see if it works well.
How well did this get rid of the heat that comes up from under the seat between the rider and the passenger? My g/f crotch and my back get pretty warm cruising down the highway. I have been looking for some way to get rid of that heat there and cool air in the airbox would be great too.
What part of home depot did you find the heat shield? I'll guess it was in the aisle with the furnace stuff? I'll have to take a look tomorrow. If it's thin it could also be useful under the front of my seat. It gets pretty warm as well.
