I'm new here. I've read posts for years but finally bought my dream bike last August. It's a 2008 Hero Blue Firebolt with only 1,200 miles. I've looked through the posts and there seems to be a lot of questions about them Clear Alternatives tail light. Here is the wiring solution. I hope I'm not over stepping my bounds or reposting something that already has a solution that I missed.
Wiring solution:
CA Buell harness
Green -> Red/Yellow
Red -> Orange/White
Black -> Black
Yellow -> Blue
Yellow/Black -> Purple
You won't use the blacks with the purple or blue wires that go to the blinkers. I couldn't find a relay that worked so I had to wire up the loaders. I extended the wires to the loaders and attached the to the frame under seat. I hooked the loaders up to the two black wires associated with the blinkers.
Side note, I have bike master LEDs on the front and wiring them this way brings them back to stock speed.

that LED relay is a direct plug and play for the stock relay port??
Yup ep36 make sure it says led 3-6 lamps on the relay.
yes it is. the autozone ones are good that say led. it was started early on to get an ep36 relay from napa. many of them dont say led on it, it was kind of a crap shoot if you would get a good one or not. if you get that part number from autozone you will be all set. it specifically says led in the description and on the relay itself.

The relay change didn't work for me. I used 5 different relays including ones from Autozone, Car Quest and Radio Shack. All of them were for LEDs. I'm not sure why they didn't work but the loaders did.
what was it doing when you had the led relay in there. They work off a timer chip, not based on resistance.
When you say loader do you mean resistor? I don't like that because they give off heat.
Yes stamen you only use one relay. If you look at your stock relay it will be obvious that there is only one. Just unplug old and plug in new.
