Buell XB Dual Headlight D-I-Y Mod Draining Battery

I know there are few who have had trouble after switching the yellow and orange wires in this mod but does anyone have any answers as to what causes this...i have an 03 xb9s btw

When I did it to my 03 lightning I didn't have any issues at all. I put it back to stock after getting my HIDs. I wouldn't think that it would be different for different years tho.
