i've also read alot of 03's have faulty electrical issues since it was the first model of the xb
and back to previous posts when i switch the wires the mod works fine its just once the bike is off no more than a half hour to an hour the bike wont have any juice...but i have no other issues as far as battery or electric goes until i do that

if you cant run both of the factory bulbs at the same time without jacking things up what makes you think different bulbs will fix it. these two bulbs at the same time cause it to fail so im going to look at putting two different bulbs in and hope the problem goes away???? i dont see the logic in this. i run two 55w bulbs now and that aztec kit is a 60 and 55 watt setup.
i would start looking into the stator, voltage regulator, and maybe the wiring. when you swap the wires in the plug you are putting the low beam on the acc circuit. there might be a problem with that circuit.
those are pricey, have seen 'em before but didn't like the mount to fork system also would have to change the connector which isn't a big deal, done that before for plug n' play
the battery dies after the bike is off ..iv switched the wires looked at it for 5 seconds to see that it does work and it is after the bike is off that something drains the battery...i can put my switch in the middle and run duals all day with no problem but it gets knocked back to one light when u hit a good enough bump sometimes so running two at a time isnt the problem its when the wires are switched
so however you plan to run the two aztec lights at the same time just do that with your current ones.
There's often only a difference in reflectors between hi and lo beams (same bulb) so you can't achieve that with the original setup. I suspect the Aztec setup has a dual filament bulb in each light to achieve both hi and lo settings.
Seems like a lot of $ to me....
