Has anyone installed these on there trailer? I've ordered some for my enclosed trailer to tie the bikes down for the Dragon trip. Just curious if anyone is using them and how they installed them. Any input would be appreciated.

    Thanks

No hardware included. I'm planning on mounting on the floor. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to tie in to the frame/runners just for the fact of size/positioning.

A video I saw shows them mounting straight to the plywood deck with bolts every 4 holes and screws in the rest. My biggest concern is if that's sufficient enough.

One of the guys coming up with me suggested running 2x4 under the deck where we're mounting to help distribute the weight which seems to be a great idea.

the 2x4 idea is good for re-enforcement.

yeah man if we can't get it through the frame we will do a 2x4, that'll work well. Do you have an ACE near you? We can get hardware there.

Yep there's an ACE about 5/10 minutes away from my house so no problem there.

So we seem to have it all figured out but I'm still open to hearing how others have installed them.

I have 2, 12 foot sections of etrack in my trailer from Harbor Freight. They have screw holes every 2 inches or something insane and on both sides. After the math it equates to like 288 screws or something. Yes...I did put 288 screws in them. No bolts. If a 400 pound bike can rip out all of those screws id be impressed. I have hauled up to somewhere around 1000lb's tied down a bunch of times. aka 2 or 3 bikes, or 2 bikes and a quad. I will be hauling down in the trailer to the dragon with 4 bikes.
