Well I guess your not smarter than that after all. I have never used a fork stand, have you tried putting the front stand on first? What brand of stands are these?
, everytime, falling, backward, forward, forks, today, thought, smarter, inside, project, triple, lower" />
So.... I got my first front "tree" stand today.
It's the kind that has a pin that goes inside the lower triple tree. It's for a long term (CB 650) project I need to pull the forks off of.
WTF? I put the rear stand on and them everytime I try to lift the front, The whole bike slides backwards?
Even if I do get it up, whats to stop it from falling forward or backward?
I need to go back to what I'm good at... drinking

Your not tripping.... Buell did a sh-ty job on some of the real bike finishing touches, ie... Spol holes, trapdoor and the list goes on....
But I'm assuming you are using a universal rear stand. If so wrap duck tape around the the rubber boot so it does not roll on the pin or do a poor man spol and stick a piece of bar through the rear axle and use the spol side of your stand.
Also make sure you are on a smooth surface
Now we wait for the ridicule :DEven if I do get it up, whats to stop it from falling forward or backward?
To stop it from going one way or the other it will involve 2 come a longs and two walls to attach them to. LOL sorry dude no help here but i would like to know for my future stands
It's pretty heavy! Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk:p
The whole bike and the rear stand slide backwards together, so it's not falling off the rear stand.
It looks just like this:
Moto front stand
I've tried the front stand first, it's even worse. There is nothing to stop the top from pivoting forward or back when the bike is on it. Seems like it needs a positive stop of some kind?
I've only found stop motion youtube clips, (like pit stops) that tell me nothing and make it look easy.
