It could have been done just as a color preference, just saying.

My bike has been down and I didn't know it until a year after I bought it. And I know what to look for and really went through it good. I didn't find out until I tore it apart and the damage had been hidden. It's minor though, and I've come to find most bikes HAVE been down.

I'm not trying to say not to be careful and something certainly may be wrong with it, but just as an example my friend wrecked his bike this weekend, it literally flipped end over end off the road landing upside down, and although it broke the mirrors, windscreen, and some scratches to the plastics, scraped bar end,, there was honestly no other damage.

My bike seemed fishy when I bought it, but it's been over 2 years and no real issues. Just use common sense.
