Thread: Brake Light

  1. #1
Having trouble with the front brake lever activating the brake light. The rear pedal works great all the time. The front would not work at all. Ohmetered the lever switch and it is good. Checked the voltage at the lever switch and it is good. Wiggling the wire harness under the seat got it working sometimes. More wiggling and is OK for now.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a specific connection or area I should check?

Also, evidently it is a vibration problem and it shouldn't be! It is a 2006 I bought in April and it now has just 1100 miles on it. I have not ridden on any particularly rough roads.

Had the dealer check it out. They said the lever switch was intermittent. It is on order. Hopefully they were right. It is really a safety issue, who wants to get rear-ended. Steve
