No appreciable change. Reset tps and cps with ecmspy. Flushed fuel. Still a knock. Time to pull the motor! Cooked up a frame hanger today!
Motor is out!
Would you reuse these pistons and bores? I was originally planning new rings and hone but don't think that will be enough. Also front rod bearing is toast.
If you're that far into it and having the crank done, I'd just go ahead and do a large bore kit and be done. If $$ is tight, then maybe honing the cylinders with new pistons will get you by, going on the assumption that the cylinders are still within spec and true/round.
Oh and forgot head gaskets were leaking this poor motor!
