Yes, it will just idle funny, run funny when you drop the throttle, and throw a code.
I have a 2007 XB12R. I have a Drummer and a K&N. I also purchased a Race ECM to replace the stock one. After changing the ECM I know I need to have the TPS reset. Problem is, if I change the ECM myself will it run at all. Once I replace it, I have about a 20 mile drive to the local HD/ Buell shop for its 1000 mile service and to have the TPS reset. Will I make it? Will she even run? Or should I not chance it and just have the dealer change it? Just trying to save a little money.

throw a code? not sure what that means. so your saying i can change it myself and just drive it to the dealer...no problems?
Set a Trouble Code in the computer system. The engine light will come on. Yes you can change it yourself. It will hunt for an idle and want to die when you come to a stop. You might have to keep on the throttle to keep it running, but that is about the extent of it.
Not really about this subject, but does anybody have any other info on contacting whoever runs this site? I ordered a part and payed for it via pay-pal but haven't recieved any kind of confirmation from this site. Any suggestions?
buellxb is the owner I think. Try pm him. Ive never seen anyone on here bitching about not getting their **** so it is probably just a glitch that stopped you getting confirmation. I hate waiting on **** myself so know how much it sux when you dont know if its shipped or not :)
thanks alot, will-do
Hey woodardj84, do you still have the stock ECM? I'd be willing to buy it off you for a fair price.
