Thanx rpatt, you helped a lot. But I just unbolted this to see if it was gettin power and as I unbolted it. I had my key on and too my kill switch. So as soon as I unbolted it. I heard the fuel pump fire up and it started. What is this? -->>

Oh and I just bolted it back on and now it won't prime or fire. Guess that thing is my problem. I really appreciate all your help you've been givin me!!!

    That is the voltage regulator.

Be careful Bud! you should refrain from yanking any electrical items from a 'hot' system. This could fry another part of the system.

Always pull the negative cable off the battery first.

Actually - - based on what you said above - check the wires to the voltage regulator VERY carefully - I bet you will find a wear spot on it in the places it lays against the front of the engine - or passes the clutch cable .

Ok will check that area. I only checked where it was going into the regulator. If I do have a bad wire. Can I replace it or do I need a new regulator?

The oil pressure switch and wire is right there too. Check it over carefully - make sure it is seated down all the way on the terminal post.

Check the voltage regulator wires for wear at the point they come out of the regulator and go over that 'V" frame tubing. Maybe add some extra cushioning there - electrical tape.

    Thanks for the Rep point!

    ^^^--thanx

Well took the regulator complete off and checked it w a fine tooth comb. And it's absolutely fine lookin. I think it's just 9-10 years old of Florida heat so it's fried. So guess ill see if I can find one some where.

And when I did the jumper on the dongle, no cel light at all. But thanx for the link thrstrmech.
