    Me too - just want to know if I need to loosen the bolt at this point, or if just waiting and torque'ing it appropriately the next time is okay....

    My other bikes all have hose/plug type oil drains - so this is quite different. Glad I found this thread as well.

    Anyway - I'll take any advice on what to do - thanks in advance.

    vincenzajay, if the bolt felt tight when you torqued it per the manual, then there is no need to remove it until your next oil change!

    Awesome - yep, it was tight - I just don't want to do any more damage to it than may have been done torquing to manual spec.

    I'll just leave it alone until the next oil change. Then I'll use something like 10 ft.lbs or 120 inch pounds on the wrench from here on out.
