Hey I seen this pic of the tail of anotehr Buell. You think we could do this to our XB,s and it would help with the rear cylinder heat? would look pretty cool too!

I don't think it would provide that much cooling, on the S3 it has nearly the same setup as the S2, the bulges hide the fuse box and the electronics for ignition both on the right side of the oil tank, and then wide open above the rear tire. What I did was to put Led turn Signals in the Grilles and My Plate where the Tail light was, then mounted a smaller Tail Light under the Body Faring.

how would you add that to an xb?

the s2 had a pretty closed tail section, but the xb are just 2 frames.

I was thinking of how people have cut holes in their airbox and put metal mesh underneath, like Gator. Only do it the either side of the tail light, or the undertail. I would prolly stay away from cutting into the undertail because of all the **** the rear tire kicks up. Iono, just a thought. In unison with a right side air scoop I think it could keep the rear cylinder much cooler as there really is not an escape route for the heat.

the escape route for the hot air of the rear cylinder is before the actual tail section.

so if you do this, it would be pure looks. ;)
