turns out that the gas was 87 octane and 8 months old... I drained it and dropped in new spark plugs.. idle went to normal pretty much.. it reads 900 rpms but I think the tach is off. Idle sounds stable, no stumbling but it does sound kinda low.. If I try to turn the idle screw up a little bit it actually stumbles and slows back down... TPS reset maybe? Other than that, its running real nice under throttle..

a lot can happen in 40 minutes eh Gloomy?

    :D

Change the grips on it? Get some gel ones, the larger diameter grips will help.

Good luck with selling your no-longer-in-production collectors' items. :D The vibes are the nature of the beast. A lot of sport bikes have a lot less vibration. Have you considered one of the new plug-in bikes? :D. Just bustin' your grills.

yeah Im looking for a GIxxer and its gotta be a 1000 and its got to make no more vibration than my laptop. I just cant stand this Harley boat anchor anymore.. it vibrates my footsies too much and my mirrors are usless and Im too scared to go into a Harley dealership.... they got too many vests on over there.. I cant get parts for old obsolete bikes that they don't make parts for anymore and these XBs break too often. Its also waaay to slow for my skill set... Im gonna get a ZX-14 next time... I cant even outrun a SV650 with my Buell... Buells suck ass.

NO NO NO NO NO! I just read on the Suzuki forums that a SV650 will beat any XB12R out there.... and that is coming from the SV riders themselves and they know the deal.. everybody knows that Suzuki is the best, don't you know that XBs have a 1950s motor and weigh in at 500 lbs???
