Have an HD Battery in my bike. It was not cranking yesterday, so I took it to HD to have it tested. I went to check on it, and they said someone took it off their charger..so I had to wait a little more. Test said battery was ok at 12.9 volts.

Went for a ride today...and just for giggles I put my ecmspy on it and it read 12.9v. But after if cranked the battery dropped to 11.8 and now is at 11.1.

I had my voltage regulator/stator changed not more than 4 months ago.

is the battery bad (this is the 2nd one, first one was bad) or possibly my charging system is again faucked?

make sure all your connections are tight on the battery, on the starter (nut on the right rear side of the starter)...doubt your charging system is toast again, also check your grounds

jump pins one and two from the dongle next to your battery/ecm and read the flashes of the check engine light, see what code(s) you get...don't start the bike just turn the key to on

wonder if your battery has bad cells, did they just check voltage of the battery? amps? acid or sealed battery?
