Cant fit in stock swing arm, cant fit with belt drive.
You wanna put 24 fl oz in a 12 oz jar.
He all. I'm hellbent on stuffing a 240 rear on my 04 xb12s. Seen a few threads on doing this with the chain conversion, but I would like to know if anyone out there has done this while keeping the belt setup and NOT modifying the swingarm. I have a black spare rear wheel and I'm thinking I can get it widened maybe? Or perhaps there is an outfit out there that could manufacture a new wider one in the xb design? Any comments? Already read the opinions on performance, and not real concerned about it. This is purely a cosmetic venture.
Thanks in advance for the input!

Taylor-Made
Steve Taylor makes an offset 240. Fits on stock swing arm w/ the belt. I had a few emails back and forth with him, then didn't hear back, so I went the chain conversion route.
So basically.. you want to make your great handling bike... not handle..
Honestly you need to talk to onelogue, he's probably done the most research on this, he currently has the chain but is researching doing the belt and still having the 240 rear.
a 240 only just fits the standard swing arm.
i have seen one done where the owner cut a slot in the swing arm for the belt. worried me how it would go long term as there is still a lot of torwue etc, and the slot was wider than the belt.
i have heard of one running an offset rear rim, but honestly why bother doing that.
it was my biggest regret and what took me so long to do it to one of my buells, but in the end the fun factor and value was worth the constant mess. i didnt want to mod the swing arm to greatly to allow a change back.
That tire looks massive.
