    Can someone help iv been looking for a post on this but cant find one I have a 09 xb12r and im sure its right in front of me but im not finding it sorry for the dumb question were is it located

    The are known to go bad, have replaced the switch on both my bikes and you will have to remove the front belt drive sprocket to change the switch. You will need a 1-7/8" socket for the sprocket nut. FYI the sprocket nut is left hand thread!

    Just a follow up for anybody else who needs help with this you can do this with just needle nosie pliers successfully only took me about 15 minutes

    Just an update if anybody else ever sees this u can change the only tools I used to get this done was needle noise and t27 socket and it only took me about 15 mins

    and a thorough cleaning will often get the switch back in working order.
