Up here in Milwaukee working at the 110th HD anniversary, and tomorrow is the last day of set-up. After a simple googling I found that it is only about 45 minutes away and we should be done early tomorrow. My question is, How easy is it to walk in, talk a bit with the people working there, and take a look around the factory?

Also, if you are in the area or planning to be there feel free to stop by the Cactus Mountain tent, front row on the far right as you walk out of the dealership and directly in front of the music and entertainment. It looks like it is going to be one hell of a multi-day party. All bagger types, but there will be mud wrestling, painted models, bikini swim-up bar, and countless other magical things. This is the first time I have been glad to be at a HD dealership.

It depends on who you are as to how far into the building you'll get. Too much Hero stuff going on now to get very far, not to mention their own designs. If you know someone personally there, you might get a few minutes of their time at best. Looking around in the back in all likelyhood will not happen. 3 years ago, sure. Now, I doubt it.

Never even got to take the 45 minute trip there from Milwaukee. Harley shenanigans kept me bust from 8am till 11pm. Did meet the guy who owns the local foundry that Erik gets his prototype work done at. Offered me a job or an in at EBR. I may take him up on it, it's just that I'm in Nashville now. How incredible would it be to put 1190s together for a living?

Just rode there today. No tours and other than the friendly secretary and a bike and motor on display was the only thing there to check out. But made it fun to just add that detail to my 4 day trip around Lake Michigan

I went there back in 02' when they were still associated with Harley. I walked back to the service area and met their head tech (can't remember name) whom proceeded to give me a full tour. The XB9r had not even made it to the media yet but I got to see one of their guys doing wheelies and stoppies in the back lot with one.

Indeed things have changed some since then. But my unannounced appearance and factory tour definitely left me with a good impression of the company and people.

I got a tour in March this year. Tony Stefanelli showed me around and I talked with Erik for an hour or more. I was interested in an internship and/or job. It was a neat place and lots of cool stuff going on!
