    I have a 07 Uly with about 11k on it rear rocker box gasket is leaking. I want to order a set of James gaskets for it not sure which set to get does anyone know which harley engine is identical to the 07 xb I read in one of the posts that something changed on the rocker box for
    07. Any opinions on the best gaskets.

    i would also like to know this as i have a 07 xb12scg and mine is also leaking so i would like to know this as im gonna do both rocker box gaskets and intake seals this winter and want the best quality one that i can find

    I just went thru this on my 06 uly n it turned out it wasnt even the covers leaking but the o-rings on the push rod covers so just be aware if your gonna go as far as dropping the motor to do cover gaskets just go ahead and get head gaskets and o-rings too or you'll wish you had later, as far as gaskets I just went to my Harley dealer and ordered everything

    JGI-17049-04-X I'm tearing my bike apart tonight to do the top end kit :D Mine is an 06, can anyone verify that there are no changes to the 07?

    Actually, I just looked, and it it did change in 07. Part number should be JGI-17049-07-X.

    yeah the rocker box gaskets changed in 07 so make sure you get the right ones.

    Buell uses silicone rocker box gaskets. Unfortunately they’re not high temp silicone gaskets.

    A hot spot forms on the left rear side of the rear rocker box cooking the lower temp silicone rocker box gasket across about a two inch length. Every gasket gets cooked and will leak sooner or later.

    The best way to stop future leaks is by sealing the two rocker box mating surfaces with Hylomar Gasket/Flange Sealant, (inside and outside of the gasket). You can coat the gasket as well but that’s just a waste of Hylomar.
