Turn on the engine and wait. Otherwise I'd just try to wipe it off. The case doesn't hold paint well even if it's high temp.
Okay guys well I was painting my exhaust wrap black (it had faded) and I had a little gap in my aluminum foil/tape to cover everything else up and got a little black paint on the silver motor case. What's the best way to get some paint overspray off the motor without messing up the factory silver case paint?
Also, what's the best way to detail (or make it look new again) the black motor paint on the side cases? Silicon spray or what?
Thanks,
Spencer

I did it about 2 weeks ago and it didn't burn off from the motor and doesn't want to wipe off (it had already dried before I pulled my plastic and noticed I got some overspray)
Thanks,

Well you can take lacquer thinner when the bike is cold obviously, with a tooth brush or brush and it will probably remove the paint.
easy off oven cleaner. don't leave it on too long though.
rsm: all good advice above and if you find that you want to repaint try either Eastwood products "Chrysler/Mopar 426 Hemi valve cover paint or the exact same product from Mopar Performance. it is Hemi valve cover, low gloss black, wrinkle texture finish. matches perfectly. you asked how to detail this engine and case paint? S-100 engine detailer or PigSpit detailer are fabulous for this application. good luck with it.
thinner or acetone (carefully). To hard to get all the oven cleaner residue off and it will do some serious damage to any raw metal if its left on there. But matteson is right it does remove over spray, a lot of people use it to clean out their spray booth.
