If you read the entire article you should note that those intake flanges were developed for Buell model years up to 2007. It specifically states those flanges will not fit 2008 to 2010 models.Originally Posted by TPEHAK

But to answer your original question, about 4 years ago I almost ordered a set. I was having that terrible a time trying to get my intake seals to stop leaking. Luckily my last intake seal change, with James gaskets and hylmer blue, did the trick.

Yes, and you can also use permatex blue. It's pretty much the same non-hardening high temp stuff.
I put a light coat on the gaskets and a good bead on the mating surface of the intake flanges(between flanges and heads). I used the stuff quite liberally between the flanges and the heads. I wiped off the excess that spewed out after slowly and evenly torquing down the bolts.
Fixed my intake issues
One of the most important part of an application such as this ( using a sealer ) is to make sure to use a cleaner that leaves no residual film, I would also heat the surface up a little bit after the first cleaning, this will bring up any embedded oil or dirt that may have penetrated the surface.
