Keep us updated on the outcome of this. I've got some ilco keys cut for my bike but I'd love to have the actual Blue Buell key.

My extra key. Got it on Ebay, then just went to hardware store.

Steal away :D Real easy to make. Just grab a spare key - had one made at the lock smith for a couple of dollars. Didn't want to use one of my main keys. Cut the key down, take a old screwdriver, heat up the shaft and pull it out of the handle. Then, heat up the key and jam it into the handle. Let it cool. Done.

A couple of my LEO friends like it a lot... One wants me to make him one.

I do get some looks when I'm filling up, looks like I jammed a screwdriver into the gas cap.

Looks like I'm getting new keys from the dealer when I get back from this deployment. I will steal the screwdriver idea with my other key.
