Hello people of the Harley sport world,

I'm Nico, Dutch and own a very nice XB12R firebolt 2005.
Really like the bike but it has let me down in recent times.

I'm reasonably mechanically inclined and very experienced with 4 cyl engines but havent taken a V-twin apart yet.

Since a highway wheelie at which my oil light went on(sat it down immediatly) I had a strange noise coming from the engine. A sort of knocking noise going with engine speed. Wasn't really affecting anything and it wasn't really loud. So I carried on riding.

Now almost 2000km later my bike stalled and won't start.
It has light and cranks over with strange noises pretty normal.
Error codes: 15 IAT.
Fuel pump works, its got spark. No broken wires. No bad fuses/relays.
Checked engine pressure: 55psi. Only the rear cylinder for now but checking the front one tommorrow.

I think I need to pull the engine and dismantle it. Maybe a broken valve?
Does anybody has any clue what it is? Maybe it can be something less invasive then a complete engine rebuilt.

Any ideas would help? The Dutch arent very forum active and with little buell experience their just telling my to make sure it has gas....

Big thnx upfront!

Greetings Nico

A pic of me and my still running bike. Somehow this bike, kawi 636, still breaks down more often. :P
