Found and fixed the horn issue over the weekend.

    Then yesterday - no indicators.
No problem, I might have not earthed the relay properly.

Off with the screen, checked and all secure, but still no indicators.
    Checked fuses, all fine.
Unplugged relay, plugged back in and then indicators!

Put all back together - no indicators!

All apart, but no amount of wiggling or fiddling brings them back to life.

New relay I think. Can I use generic ones (I am sure) or does it have to be Buell specific.

    Thanx!

You can buy generic. I bought a generic for my led signals and it works great. Not sure what generic number to buy though. I bought mine after reading a thread on led signals.

Cool, got a generic Bosch one for about $US 5.

    Cheap enough to try out.

The female connectors where the relay plugs into may be corroded inside, a new relay will work for a while but it will most likely fail again soon unless the harness side is also cleaned. I used to use torch tip cleaners and cut the round end off. So its just the small file part and go in and out with that to polish it up. Availible at carquest or most any parts store.

Ended up being a broken earth wire.

Was a week of broken earth wires - first the horn, then headlights, then indicators.

    All sorted now. ;)
