The title pretty much sums it up. I have an '05 XB12R pretty much stock other than a jardane exhaust and a chip. Just wondering if the LSS was worth the money? Just asking for opinions from people who run one themselves. Aesthetically or mechanically is it worth it?

If your left side scoop is missing, definitely find one to put on there. As far as the right side goes - pretty much the same as the left. Your bike will thank you for it.
You can get the "factory" one from the Uly comfort kit which doesn't look identical to the left, but as worker88 said, it works. You can get almost exact copies from ASB and a few other vendors I believe, however I feel the extra money spent on it isn't worth it, especially if your saving up money for other mods. The factory one looks fine in my opinion.
Lol yeah I meant right side. I have left and right confusion. Thanks for the comments though.
yes yes and yes. my fan used to run constantly and since putting the right side scoop on the fan only runs in traffic or after a hard ride.
I live in the southeast and it's an absolute must have.
I used to just drive down the freeway and when I got off, my
fan would kick right in.
Now, the fan only kicks in when I'm in traffic.
As said above, get it! It bolts right up. No modes necessary.
Even here in Michigan I run one. I would strongly recommend it.
Some of the best money I've spent on mine. Even here in Vegas with our 110+ summers it makes a big difference.
Do you suggest that I just buy the one for the Ulysses comfort kit? Is there a way I can just buy the right one?
yes go to HD (if you choose vs an online site) and order the right side scoop (2 pieces) and the 3 screws (same ones used to attach the windscreen)
